THREE youths attacked two teenagers as they walked along a street.

The 19-year-old victims were walking in Eastern Avenue, Burnley, when the teenagers tried to bump into them.

The gang then started shouting abuse at the friends who tried to walk off.

One of the robbers grabbed hold of a carrier bag and threw the victim against a metal fence.

Another attacker then started repeatedly punching the other victim in the face.

He required hospital treatment for a cut lip which required stitches and also suffered a cut to his head and bruising in the attack which happened at 11.20pm on Sunday.

The robbers ran off in the direction of Briercliffe Road with the bag containing DVDs, a CD and video.

The first attacker is described as a white male, 5ft 8ins, slim, wearing a white top with rolled up sleeves, and tracksuit bottoms.

The second was a white male, 5ft 9ins, of medium build with shaved, ginger hair.
