A HISTORIC hall is to host a weekend of swords, chivalry and craftwork later this month.

Browsholme Hall, at Bashall Eaves, near Clitheroe, is holding its first ever craft fair and medieval weekend on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19.

The hall will also host medieval re-enactments with demonstrations of life and battles long ago.

Other attractions will include a hog roast, bird of prey displays and tours of the hall which are available for an extra charge.

Admission is £2.50 for adults with free entry for accompanied under 16s. The events run from 10am to 5pm on both days. Calling 01744 750606 for more details.
