FEARS are being expressed about witness intimidation if cameras are allowed into courts. There is also a chance of witnesses and barristers playing up to the cameras.
My objection is based on the fact that it adds nothing to justice. It caters only for voyeurism at best and the risk of putting the jury (however subtle) under pressure at the worst. It may well become seen as just another form of entertainment.
Parliament -- yes, courts -- no.
