A ROAD in Ainsworth was closed for two hours last Thursday night (August 26) after a car crashed into a skip.
The 45-year-old driver of a Jaguar escaped with minor arm injuries following the accident in Starling Road at 9pm. He was taken to Fairfield Hospital for treatment.
The Jaguar was badly damaged and the skip was shunted into the middle of the road.
Bury Council workers were called in to move the skip. It is believed the skip was not displaying warning lights and visibility at the time of the crash was poor.
