LEGENDARY sporting heroes were at a star-studded sports bar launch.
Rugby celebrities Billy Boston, Alex Murphy and Mick Martyn, former Olympic runner David Grindley from Hindley and Leigh MP Andy Burnham were all at the opening of Legends, at Swan Lane, Hindley Green -- a £250,000 extension to the Body Image Gym.
The 13 legendary figures honoured at last Thursday's celebrations included RL great Shaun Edwards, British Lion Fran Cotton, England cricketer Neil Fairbrother, Olumpic swimmer June Croft, soccer hot-shots Roger Hunt, Nat Lofthouse and Franny Lee and the late world boxing champion Peter Kane and British Bulldog wrestler Davy 'Boy' Smith.
