A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy was rushed to Burnley General Hospital with head injuries after he was shot with a pellet gun near his home in Tower Hill, Clitheroe, just before 2pm yesterday.
Neighbours said the boy was thought to have been shot while playing in his own back garden.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said: "There was a lot of blood coming from his head. I'm guessing that he was very lucky he wasn't killed."
Police arrested two people in connection with the incident and they were being questioned today.
