A THRIVING ladies' shoe shop in Ramsbottom is planning a sparkling occasion next week for its first birthday.
Deana Harper, who runs Imelda's in the town's Square Street, will launch the celebration next Wednesday between 6pm and 9pm in association with well-known jewellers Boodle and Dunthorne.
Up to 150 shoe shop customers will gather inside a marquee outside the shop to view a display of jewellery. The road will be closed temporarily.
Deana said: "Diamonds are a girl's best friend and shoes come a very close second."
The businesswoman opened Imelda's after moving to Ramsbottom from London.
