A RADCLIFFE company boss has "rallied" round to help a sports car crew.
John Cope has donated a set of professional safety harnesses to rally driver Chris Reid (21), and his co-driver Phil Peak.
The businessman, whose Cope Engineering firm is based in Sion Street, is himself a rally driver with more than a keen interest in the sport.
John, who pilots a Subaru Impreza in British events, handed over the £600 harnesses to Chris Reid at a recent event. In fact, the Radcliffe boss was leading up until the last stage of the same event when his car became damaged, forcing his retirement.
John said: "It's nice to be able to help younger crews and I'll be keeping a close eye on their progress this season."
