RE your story headlined 'What a Drag' (LET, September 1). I do not think that the ladies bowling team in Blackburn need to worry about the antics that arise when a very important game is in motion.
I can well remember when as a Crown Green bowler myself all sorts of tips from the other bowlers were passed on to us -- I remember one bowler who used to run at the side of his bowl, wave his arms about and as the bowl stopped he would stamp on the green.
Put a skirt on him and I am sure he would look exactly the same as the Corrie character. Ladies have no fear, as Brian Clough used to say about football "Its a funny old game."
