ONE of the Ribbley Valley's best-known pubs yesterday reopened its doors after being closed for three years.

Bosses of the Three Fishes in Mitton Road, Mitton, unveiled 12 weeks and £600,000 worth of renovations to a VIP party at lunchtime and to Ribble Valley's drinkers at 6pm.

The pub has been bought by Nigel Haworth and Craig Bancroft, the brains behind Blackburn's successful Northcote Manor Hotel.

The pair hope to turn around the fortunes of the pub with their new menu of locally-produced dishes.

The new menu includes Morecambe Bay shrimp and Fleetwood fish pie. Only ingredients sourced from a 40-mile radius will make the grade. Thwaites brewery will be supplying the pub.
