A MAN suffered head injuries in a street fight in Blackburn's Brookhouse area.
The fight between three people broke out about 5pm yesterday in Earl Street. Two men aged 28 and 19 were arrested on suspicion of assault and were today being questioned at Greenbank police station.
The injured man was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary. Crowds around Earl Street, which was cordoned off up to Carr Street for around two hours, were interviewed by police.
Duty Inspector Stuart Bruce: "There has been an incident of street fighting. The area was taped off as we gathered evidence to what happened. There were lots of people milling about so we blocked off the road."
