PADIHAM'S hasty exit from the FA Cup might not be a bad thing, according to manager Steve Wilkes.
The Storks were thumped 5-1 at home to Billingham Synthonia last weekend but Wilkes is hoping last week's showdown has provided a vital lesson for tomorrow's FA Vase first qualifying game at Poulton Victoria.
"Poulton are a division below us in their league, so we should be stamping our authority on the game like Billingham did with us on Saturday," said Wilkes.
"The players know it won't be easy, but it's a match we should win.
"I don't think there will be a hangover from last week because there were chances for us to get it back to 4-2 or 4-3. It would have flattered us massively if we'd have done that."
