THE driver of a sports car was pulled to safety after his car collided with two parked cars and burst into flames.
The red Ford Escort Convertible crashed into two cars next to the Howe Bridge Sports Centre, Leigh Road, Atherton, at 1.45am on Monday.
The man was pulled from the car by residents who heard the crash. He was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from a suspected broken leg.
Fire crews were called to the scene to put out the fire, which caused extensive damage to the car.
Damage was also caused to the rear of the parked cars. Police are investigating.
