A 22-YEAR-OLD man went berserk after being ordered to leave a Blackburn pub.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Paul Donlin caused more than £1,000 worth of damage in the Postal Order as he threw chairs and ash trays around the crowded pub and upset tables.
And the court was told that as a result of the incident Donlin had now been barred from every pub in the town centre for six months under the Bar-U scheme.
Donlin, of Newton Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to damaging property worth £1,074 belonging to J D Wetherspoons and stealing a wallet and contents belonging to David Shuttleworth.
The magistrates ordered the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said his client's behaviour could only be described as "thuggish." "Drink is the common thread running through his offending behaviour," said Mr Ditta. "He says that after he was asked to leave, a comment was made and he reacted in completely the wrong way."
