Boxing coach Yaqoob Hussain was named Blackburn with Darwen's top coach in the Lancashire Sports Awards recently.
His club Audley Boxing Club also picked up the Blackburn with Darwen Club of the year award.
He said, "I am delighted to have won the award but more pleased to have seen Audley win the Club of the Year award.
"I set up the club in 2002 but it is a real team effort from all the volunteers who help out and the youngsters who turn up week after week."
Yaqoob has been a voluntary boxing coach for 31 years.
Hamid Saleri was given the special recognition award for his services to sport in Burnley.
Other Lancashire Sports awards went to Qasim Ali (Coach of the year in Burnley), Abdul Moulvi (Volunteer of the year Blackburn) and Hamaad Anwar (Volunteer of the year Burnley).
