ATHERTON Collieries were beaten 3-1 at home by Maine Road.
Chris Simms and Neil Chappell put Road two up in the first 14 minutes. Nicky Fisher pulled one back from the penalty spot five minutes after the break, but Chappell's second goal, with 18 minutes left, secured an away win.
On Monday night, Collieries host Great Harwood, kick off 7.45pm.
