Two Blackburn brothers have been jailed for a total of more than six years for their involvement in the supply of controlled drugs.
Tussis Ashraf, 17, of Whitewell Place, Blackburn, was found guilty of possession with intent to supply amphetamine and heroin by a jury at Preston Crown Court.
He was charged following a raid at a house on Calder Place, Blackburn in May this year. He was jailed for three years and nine months.
His brother Ibrar Ashraf, 19, of the same address was found guilty of possession with intent to supply amphetamine. He received three years in prison.
The convictions followed the seizure of one of the biggest hauls of amphetamine in Lancashire in recent years as part of the Eastern Division crack down on controlled drugs - codenamed Operation Eagle. A significant quantity of heroin was also seized.
Detective Inspector Simon Giles, the man in charge of Operation Eagle, said, "These sentences are very significant and send a strong message to anyone dealing drugs in Lancashire that they will be dealt with severely. The imprisonment of these two men will have an impact on the supply of drugs in Blackburn.
"There is a clear link between those who deal and misuse controlled drugs and the types of crimes that we are trying to reduce."
"By tackling the root causes of those crimes we should be able to make a real difference to our communities."
