KEVIN Hitchcock today said he's relishing the challenge of becoming Blackburn Rovers' new goalkeeping coach.
The former Chelsea stopper has signed a one year contract with Rovers after quitting a similar post at Watford and he replaces Roy Tunks in Mark Hughes's new-look backroom team.
"I was at Chelsea 13 years and played for them in the Premiership, but this is my first time as a coach at this level and I am really looking forward to being involved," said Hitchcock.
"I know Brad Friedel and Peter Enckelman are top professionals and there are some other great prospects here.
"It's a pleasure to be able to work with the likes of these players.
"Blackburn Rovers are a top club, with lots of history and tradition."
It's a very professional set-up here, with good people and fantastic facilities. It's a very exciting time."
