FAMILY and friends of tragic rail worker David Pennington gathered yesterday at a Burnley church for his funeral.
David Pennington, 46, of Cog Lane, was one of two men killed on September 28 when they were hit by a rail maintenance vehicle while working on track in Staffordshire.
Mr Pennington's funeral took place at St Mark's Church, Rossendale Road.
He leaves behind wife of 19 years Carol and children Louise, 25, Carrie, 29, Ashley, 12 and Leon, 11.
He also had three grandchildren, and parents Joe and Joyce.
