TWO Darwen women thanked those who have helped them raise £3,300 for charity.
Shirley Morris and Audrey Mitchell have organised morris dancing events as part of the English Town and Country Carnival Organisation (ETACCO), and help raise cash each year.
Money collected this time will go to the Rainbow House charity for disabled children in Eccleston and Acorn Farm riding for disabled children on Merseyside.
Shirley said: "This year we held marching competitions, a charity fundraising day and sponsored walk.
"Next year we will be going it alone, without ETACCO, because of the amount of support we have received in Darwen.
"This means we will be able to start raising money locally for causes closer to home."
