I WAS absolutely disgusted when I read in the Evening Telegraph that the East Lancashire health service is in the red to the tune of £5million.
I realise that money is being spent on improving our existing hospitals and quite rightly so, but what about all the money that is wasted?
I have seen perfectly good chairs thrown on the dump and I dread to think what else has been dumped.
Nearly all the office windows are fitted with vertical blinds and in some cases, beautiful drapes as well.

As this is public money which is being wasted, I think the Trust should adopt the same attitude i.e. what you can't afford you do without.

At the end of the year, the departmental managers will be browsing through catalogues wondering how they can use up the surplus money from their budgets.
Bring back the days when there was one supplies officer and one budget.
