MORECAMBE boss Jim Harvey is keeping his fingers crossed that the Shrimps' new-found form and confidence will hold firm for the long trip to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
Morecambe have not been beaten in the Nationwide Conference for seven games, and with recent home wins against York City and Tamworth are now close to a play-off position.
The Rovers had fresh optimism ahead of this campaign - but already have suffered long days at The Lawn with only one point collected at home all season.
Their points total is four from 13 games and they are only being kept off the bottom by hapless Northwich Victoria. But Harvey is warning his men to keep their feet on the ground.
"It's a long season and there is no point shouting now what you are going to do," he says. "We had a slow start and we are picking up the pace steadily now - but we do need to work hard in every game."
Michael Stringfellow and Michael Howard are doubts ahead of the trip to Gloucestershire where Michael Twiss, pictured, will look to add to his stunning record of six goals in the last seven games.
