I AM writing in response to Graham Cannon's letter (LET, October 5).
I agree completely with the comments made about business recycling and find it astounding that local businesses are not assisted in recycling their waste, which would not doubt amount to a greater volume of recyclable items than domestic waste.
I also know that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council - although having an excellent system for recycling domestic waste - still has a long way to go in terms of recycling it's own business waste, let alone in assisting other businesses to take steps which will protect the future of our environment.
How ironic, that a council with such foresight to recycle fails so miserably on this aspect.
