SHAKERS boss Graham Barrow is still looking to improve his squad, and will have another look at Irish triallist Raymond Lally.

The 19-year-old left-sided midfielder, who has played in the League of Ireland for Cork City, impressed Barrow during a 64-minute run out for the reserves in a 0-0 draw at Burnley on Wednesday night.

"He looked very comfortable," Barrow said. "He's trained with us, and had a run out in the reserves, and he's well worth another look.

"He's gone back to Ireland for the time being, but we will be looking to get him back here."

But Barrow is less likely to follow up his interest in Northampton striker Steve Morison, who has also been on trial with the Shakers.

The 21-year-old Londoner played a full 90 minutes for the reserves at Burnley.

Barrow said: "He did okay, but the problem is that he's no better than the players I've got already, so I've put that one on the back burner for now."
