HYNDBURN residents have pitched in to help fundraisers find enough cash to send an incurably ill youngster to Lapland for Christmas.
Ryan Cottrell, eight, suffers from the skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa, which leaves him in terrible pain when his skin blisters.
Local businesses have also stepped in to boost the drive, and are holding an event - Ryan's Day, at Si's Cafe Bar, Blackburn Road, Accrington, on Sunday, in an effort to raise extra money to help his family.
And Ryan will turn up in a £100,000 Ferrari sports car.
Today it was revealed that the organisers of the fund have so far raised more than £6,000.
It will go towards a family holiday for the brave youngster, as well as mum Amanda and father Shaun. Amanda, 30, said: "Ryan is very happy when we talk about it. He is looking forward to it all."
