JASON Jones has played his way into contention for his first Nelson start after repaying manager Dave Hall's faith in him on Tuesday.
The former Middlewich and Leek striker answered Hall's call for a target man in the absence of Craig Bradshaw by coming on as sub and nodding in the winner in the derby victory over Darwen.
It was Nelson's second 1-0 win in succession and they go for their third NWCL Division Two win on the spin at Caatleton Gabriels tomorrow.
