AFTER finally securing that elusive first win against Kidsgrove in midweek, Rossendale United look to add to their points tally when they travel to Eastwood Town tomorrow.
Manager Mark Molyneaux played his part in the win, by saving a penalty to secure his side a 2-1 victory.
"It was a good win, everyone played really well, even when we were 1-0 down," he said.
"We deserved the three points because everyone worked hard and backed each other up and thankfully we've been able to chalk off our first win.
"Now we'll be hoping to add a second tomorrow."
The new boss is quickly making the side his own with several new faces already in place, one of which is already attracting attention from the
continent.
Former Manchester United youngster Mark Redshaw made his Dale debut in midweek but his spell at Dark Lane may be cut short as he has been offered trials in Italy.
Molyneaux was also impressed with new signings Garry McInally, a young left back who was released from Blackpool, and ex-Wigan Athletic right back Chris Jones.
Dale's only doubt for tomorrow's game is Brad Clegg, who picked up a knock in the midweek win.
Eastwood Town v Rossendale
Rossendale manager is Mark Molyneaux (ex-Chorley manager). Only took over a couple of weeks ago after a spell with Salford City, and Dale recorded their first win of the season after 13 games.
He brought in a few new faces and hopes to make 2/3 new signings before the weekend.
Brad Clegg needs a late fitness check after suffering a knock on Tuesday night.
"It was a good win, everyone played really well.
"Even when we were 1-0 down.
"We made changes to the team because when we went down at Belper a few people who have been involved all season were thinking 'here we go again'.
"The win was well deserved because everyone worked hard and backed each other up.
"Even if we had lost we would still have been pleased with our peformance.
"But thankfully we've been able to chalk off our first win and we'll be hoping to add a second tomorrow."
He added: "It was nice to see the relief on everyone's faces. Tuesday was really good for building morale but we've got to forget about that and move on to tomorrow.
"If we can keep the save 14 to 16, that's what you're looking for.
"Ideally you'd like the same starting 11 but it's important to get some continuity."
Molyneaux, who saved a penalty in Dale's 2-1 win over Kidsgrove Athletic in midweek, gave debuts to left back Gary McNally, who was released from Blackpool, ex-Wigan Athletic right back Chris Jones and former Manchester United youngster Mark Redshaw.
However, they could soon have to say goodbye to Redshaw after he was offered trials in Italy.
