A FUN weekend is on the cards for St Andrew's Church in Whitefield.
The theme for the event is "lifeactually" and is a play on the title of the film Love Actually.
The fun starts on Friday with a comedy night at the Lord Clive pub, in Mersey Drive.
Christian comedian Brian Rice will entertain from 7.30pm and tickets are £1 including hot pot supper.
On Saturday, the church will be open to visitors from 10am to 3pm and there will be lots of activities such as face painting, a dads and lads table football competition, massage, line dancing demonstrations and a free barbecue.
There will also be a bouncy castle for younger members of the family and refreshments available throughout the day.
Entertainment continues into the evening with a Grease night at St Michael's Church hall, in Ribble Drive. The 50s and 60s themed disco is open to all the family and there will be prizes for the best dancers and best dressed participants.
Tickets are £1 per family and a potato pie supper will be served.
The event will also feature a guest speaker, Arnold Muwonge, who will talk about the weekend's theme.
The fun will culminate with a special service at 10.15am on Sunday at St Andrew's for everyone who has attended the events.
Rev Andy Williams, of St Andrew's Church, said: "The lifeactually weekend is a fun event but one where we can think about what life is and what it is all about. We also hope to raise awareness about St Andrew's and let people know that this is their local church."
Tickets for any of the events are available from Mr Williams on 766 1635. Anyone wishing to take part in the table football competition should also contact Mr Williams in advance. Prizes include a Manchester City football and tickets to see a Bury FC game.
