A MAN who was found stabbed to death next to his burning car has been named as Radcliffe takeaway worker Abdul Sameh Yadgari.
The 35-year-old's body was discovered by police near a block of flats in Blackley.
He had suffered several stab wounds and severe burns from the car fire.
Detectives probing the murder today issued an appeal to people who might have information on the father-of-three's "vicious" killing to come forward.
His body was discovered at 9.30pm on Tuesday, October 12, when emergency services were called to a car on fire next to empty flats off Colmore Drive.
Mr Yadgari, of Northridge Road, Blackley, was known to friends as Sameh, and worked in the Touch of Spice takeaway in Church Lane, Radcliffe.
He was married and had two daughters, aged 13 and 11, and an eight-year-old son.
His body was found on a grassed area next to his blue Vauxhall Astra saloon, registration L903 HNK.
Det Supt Kevin Duffy said: "Sameh was subjected to a vicious attack and we need to bring the people responsible for his death to justice.
"We would ask residents of Colmore Drive or anyone who was visiting the area on Tuesday to think about whether they saw the car parked at the side of Grizedale Court before the emergency services arrived on Tuesday evening.
"We would also ask them to think about whether they saw or heard any people or cars in the area that night.
"We also need to establish exactly what time the Vauxhall Astra arrived at the car park so we would ask anyone who knows a time when it wasn't there to call us."
Det Supt Duffy said police also wanted to know if the car had been seen earlier in the evening.
A 32-year-old woman and a 34-year man from Blackley are being held in connection with the murder.
Detectives have been given more time to question them.
Two men from Bury, aged 28 and 17, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
