ASTLEY & Tyldesley Road Runners sent their second string runners to Bury to compete in the Red Rose Cross Country Race 1.
John Lee and Bob Stevens ran well in the muddy conditions finishing 91st and 99th. Craig Bradbury and Gary Stevens found the condtions too tough and struggled in 111th and 117th, with cross country captain Terry Hughes finishing in 126th.
The club will make its first ever appearence in the South East Lancs League at Pennington Flash on Saturday with Shaun Moran, Anthony Battersby and Mark Riches all returning with Mike Entwistle still out with injury.
