Padiham1
LEADERS Padiham had to settle for a share of the points for the second week running on Saturday after initially taking the lead through Stuart Telfer in the 35th minute.
Norton equalised midway through the second half from a penalty after a foul by Padiham keeper Robert Batty and from the spot kick Kieran Woolley made no mistake to earn the home side a point.
The game however, was overshadowed by events off the pitch and resulted in the local police arresting the game's assistant referee Mr Robert Tittensor after the final whistle for an alleged incident which occurred just before the game kicked off.
This left both clubs in limbo throughout the game wondering when the police would arrive to investigate the incident and if they arrived during the game would the game have to be abandoned.
