EMPLOYEES at Remploy in Burnley, who manufacture cartons and boxes for a range of retail and commercial customers, have won another safety award after going two years free from reportable accidents. The company, which is planning to spend a further £500,000 on new machinery this Autumn, has been presented with £100 to donate to a charity of the workers' choice.
"Despite a five-fold increase in production, our safety record remains impeccable," said manager Steve Wellens.
"And that's exactly how we intend it should remain.
