LANWAY sales director James Rigg has been chosen to lead a Lancashire-wide consortium of IT firms. He has been named chairman of the Lancashire Digital Alliance, which brings together more than 70 cutting-edge firms from across the county.
The aim is for the alliance to use the collective muscle of its members to match the multi-national consultancy operations. "The Digital Alliance is not a talking shop," he said. "It is a venture whose core aim is to make money. That is the fundamental reason why I am committed to it.
"I want businesses both in Lancashire and further afield to recognise the Digital Alliance brand as a sign of excellence. The Digital Alliance represents the sort of progressive thinking which is needed to help regenerate the area.
"I believe that we can make the Digital Alliance another Lancashire business success story because there is a great deal of talent, energy and innovative thinking in the area."
