YOUNG people wanting to enter Darwen Rotary Club's chef of the year competition are urged to get their entry forms as soon as possible.
Hopefuls aged 14 and 15 should enter before November 5 and forms are available from Gilbert Riley on 01254 704844 or 07754 220009. Each competitor will be asked to prepare a two-course meal for two people costing no more than £4 per head and Darwen Rotary Club will reimburse contestants the cost of ingredients.
The winner of the local heat will win £25 and go through to the district finals of the District 1190 of Rotary competition next year.
The district winner will then receive an engraved trophy and a set of chef's knives, with an item of cooking equipment for second place and £15 gift token for third.
