NEW ideas for Darwen's market square will be looked at following feedback from residents on proposals put forward by the council.
Plans showing what the bus station and town centre area could look like were put on display in both Darwen Community Centre and Darwen Town Hall.
They have already aroused considerable discussion and argument, with many disagreeing with the possible relocation of the bus station from the Circus to Wellington Fold and the redevelopment of the market area.
Their concerns will now be looked at by the Darwen Partnership.
Coun Andy Kay, executive member for regeneration and chairman of the Partnership, said: "Once again we have found how much passion and pride the people of Darwen have when it comes to decisions around the future of their town.
"We are listening to what everyone in Darwen is saying and will continue to listen.
"The very important thing for everyone to remember is that no decisions have been made and that all comments will be considered.
"The partnership will be developing further ideas and proposals over the next few weeks and then they will be asking the community again for their views."
