A PRESTWICH church celebrated its 100th anniversary on Monday (Oct 18) with a special service.
St Hilda's CE Church in Whittaker Lane was the venue for a centenary Mass on the exact day the church was opened 100 years ago.
Communion was given by the Bishop of Beverley, Martyn Jarrett, and also present were be the Bishop of Manchester, Nigel McCulloch, and the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Councillors Barry and Sharon Briggs.
