COLNE recorded their second league away win of the season at Maine Road last night.
The Reds took the game to the home side with a first half display of fast and accurate passing, leaving keeper Ross Baxter a spectator.
Carl Haworth and James Webster had early chances, while Paul Forsyth gave the defence a torrid time.
The breakthrough came when Webster played in Forsyth and his accurate cross into the box - one of many - left Ian Simpson with an easy tap in at the far post for his third goal in three games.
The Reds' pressure increased, first through Scott Gizon, then Haworth, before another run from Forsyth ended with his shot rebounding off the bar.
Colne defended well in the second half to maintain their lead as Maine Road came back into the game.
