A SONGSTRESS from Yorkshire has a double date in Lancaster this week as part of a major national tour.
Julie Ellison will be showcasing her talents in two city pubs just as her debut solo CD 'At Last' is attracting radio airplay across the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
A planned performance at The Pier Hotel in Morecambe has had to be postponed but Julie will appear at the John O'Gaunt tonight (Thursday) and The Golden Lion on Saturday.
An accomplished acoustic player, Julie has been described by folk icon Ralph McTell as a 'terrific guitarist who writes great songs'.
She builds on a diverse range of styles, drawing from ragtime, blues, folk and country to create her mix of mainly self composed guitar instrumentals and songs of passion, heartbreak and desire.
She appears in Lancaster straight from a main stage performance at Gainsborough Folk Festival.
The starting time for both Lancaster performances is 9pm.
