AWARD-winning film writer, director and producer Chee Keong Cheung is to pass on tips to budding filmmakers at a two-day course at Lancaster's
Folly gallery.
Chee has produced and directed more than 20 short films and consulted and advised on a further 50, working with international film makers from the UK, France, America, India, Australia, Norway and Greece.
He has rubbed shoulders with the movers and shakers of the cinematic world at the Cannes Film Festival and is working on two multi-million pound feature films with some of the industry's most respected talent.
Chee started his film career at the age of 16 and now heads UK-based Intense Productions Ltd.
He took a degree in film production at the Surrey Institute of Art and
Design and also studied under the acclaimed producer Dov S-Siemens, whose previous pupils include Spike Lee and Quentin Tarantino.
He will run 'Making a Short Film' at The Folly this Saturday and Sunday, (October 23 and 24) from 10am to 5pm. The cost of the course is £55 (£45 conc).
