THE vicar of Tyldesley St George's Church accepted 200 shoeboxes filled with love from school children.
The Rev Chris Straton led a 200 strong congregation in a combined Thanksgiving and Rotary Club service at the church.
Pupils from Freddies provided the music and St George's Primary School, Shakerley CP, Tyldesley CP and Fred Longworth High Schools the songs and verses.
The boxes, organised by the Rotary Club and filled by the participating schools, have been forwarded for delivery to deprived children overseas in time for Christmas.
