PUPILS from Ainsworth have been helping to encourage people back to church.
Children from Christ Church CE Primary School took part in a harvest thanksgiving service as part of the 'Back to Church' event.
Porch Projects collected harvest gifts that had been given by the school as well as by the congregations.
Vicar of Christ Church Ainsworth, the Rev David Griffiths, said: "At the lovely harvest evensong the choir sang a beautiful anthem by Handel 'Holy Art Thou'. The service went very well.
"People often say they have got out of the habit of going to church and don't know how to start again.
Church worship provides space to be with God and helps give greater vision with which to see and hear him more easily in the rest of our lives."
