NOMINATIONS are now open for the title of Radcliffe boy and girl of the year 2004.
This annual award aims to acknowledge youngsters who play an important role in the community. Nominees may show particular kindness, caring, courage, thoughtfulness for others or a host of other special qualities.
The two winners will be presented with prizes donated by Radcliffe businesses and the area board, and have the honour of switching on the Christmas Lights on November 27.
Nominations are invited from schools, parents, grandparents and community groups. Nominees must live in Radcliffe and be aged 16 years or under. Nominations containing full details of why you think this person should win the award, together with the nominator's and nominee's contact details should be forwarded to Elaine Powell, Town Centres Initiative (Radcliffe), Craig House, Bank Street, Bury BL9 0DN or by e-mail: e.powell@bury.gov.uk The closing date for nominations is Monday, November 15.
