ROVERS Ladies suffered their first league defeat in over 30 games after letting a two-goal lead slip against Oldham Curzon.
Sarah McRea lobbed Rovers into the lead on nine minutes and it was soon two as Hannah Bailey drove in a shot on an angle from the left of the penalty area.
Two long-range efforts either side of half-time brought the hosts back on level terms before Rovers conceded the third and final goal on the hour mark.
Coach Andy McNally said: "I rested two of our best players for disciplinary reasons and would do the same again, regardless of the result.
"Rovers are a big club and its reputation comes first - I don't expect all my players to be angels but I do expect a certain level of behaviour.
"You gain a lot of friends from winning matches however it's in defeat when you find out who is really there for you. I know the management and players will stick together and we are now looking to try and go on another run."
