BURY'S new health watchdog has moved into new premises and is ready to deal with concerns of residents living in the borough.
The Patient and Public Involvement in Health forum for Bury Primary Care Trust is one of a group of organisations which have replaced community health councils in England to deal with local health issues and concerns.
The chairman of the local body is Barbara Barlow, who was a member of Bury Community Health Council for ten years. She said that the group were working to establish themselves and were working closely with organisations within the health sector.
The chairman said that they needed to hear what people thought of their local health service to further their work. The group can be contacted by writing to Bury PPIH Forum, Bury Business Centre, Kay Street, Bury, BL9 6BU, by telephoning 0161 763 1447 or by e-mail on ppihbury@btconnect.com
