HUNDREDS of teachers, pupils and friends said an emotional goodbye to respected headteacher Peter Keegan yesterday.
The 51-year-old's funeral at St Alban's Catholic Church, Larkhill, Blackburn, was followed by burial at St Mary's RC Church, Osbaldeston.
Mr Keegan, of Durham Road, Wilpshire, leaves wife Anne-Marie and daughters Laura, 23, also a teacher; Anna, 20, a trainee nurse; Susan, 15, and twins Helen and Jane, 12.
He was head at St Alban's RC Primary, Blackburn; St Mary's RC, Langho, and St Anne's and St Joseph's RC, Accrington.
St Augustine's RC High, Billington, where Anne-Marie is a teacher, and St Alban's schools were closed for the day as a mark of respect.
