RESIDENTS can have more input on improving their community and learn more about work going on near their homes, at Earcroft Community Association's annual meeting.
It takes place on Thursday, November 4, at 6.30pm at the Earcroft Community Base, in Hawkshaw Avenue.
The community association comprises people who live in the Earcroft ward and works towards identifying and alleviating local issues and concerns.
The work involves setting up projects and schemes, identifying funding, planning and developing ideas for action, supporting local voluntary groups and ensuring people have a voice in the area.
It works in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Council, local councillors and other agencies to improve community life.
The AGM will offer people the opportunity to see what the association does and to join the group to become actively involved in the community.
A buffet will be available at 6.30pm with the meeting starting at 7pm for around one hour.
For more information about the group, contact Earcroft Community Base on 01254 775248.
