BLACKBURN Hawks face a tough cup weekend with games involving back-to-back Premier League opposition.
Tonight, the Hawks are in action in Wiltshire facing an uphill battle with the Swindon Wildcats.
And tomorrow, back at the Blackburn Arena, they entertain Solihull Kings in another Premier Cup qualifying tie.
The Hawks, who still top their league, have had a two-week break from competitive action, but player-coach Bobby Haig is still smarting from double defeat in successive cup-ties against Telford Wildfoxes.
"I'm hoping we can hit form, but going to Swindon won't be easy, they have beaten us already in the cup, but I have high hopes of taking Solihull," he said.
"We will be missing key players for both games but I really fancy our chances in the home tie."
Peter Tapp and Michael Brunton are unavailable due to holidays and influential summer signing Greg Allen is out with a groin injury.
In addition, the Hawks' Under 19s are unavailable for Swindon due to match commitments.
"It's probably damage limitation at Swindon but, if we play to our strengths, you never know," Haig added.
"Solihull are a level above us, but they are in a transition stage, with lots of changes and they haven't won any game yet this season.
"With our own crowd behind us, it's a chance to get our heads back up an start winning again."
The match in Swindon starts at 5.45 pm and tomorrow's cup-tie against Solihull in Blackburn faces off at 6 pm.
Doors open for spectators at 5.15 pm.
