PUPILS were given an extra pat on the back yesterday at an Awards Day for St Augustine's RC High School, in Billington.
Upper school awards were presented by Mike Finley, headteacher of St Mary's Sixth Form College, in Blackburn.
Lower school awards were presented by John Carroll, headteacher of St John the Baptist's RC Primary School, in Padiham.
Honours ranged from form prizes in subject areas, to whole school awards. The day followed on from annual prize night on Thursday when headteacher Anthony McNamara presented a digital show of the school's achievements to parents, and pupils.
