A 36-YEAR-OLD Blackburn man lost his foot after his motorbike collided with a car in Yew Tree Drive, Blackburn.
The man, of Rhodes Avenue, was taken to Blackburn Infirmary at about 7pm last night.
Police said the Volvo estate involved in the incident had part of the motorcyclist's foot trapped in the bumper. The 23-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after an accident. The man, from the Stoke area, was later released on bail pending further inquires.
Inspector Steve Haworth said bike rider had been transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.
