A BURNLEY woman potholer was rescued four hours after falling 40ft from a rope ladder in Bull Pot, Casterton Fell, near Kirkby Lonsdale.
Patricia Carroll of Devonshire Road was taken to hospital with a broken wrist, back injuries and suffering shock.
Her husband, who saw her fall from the rope after losing her footing on slippery rock, also had to be treated for shock.
